
Begin a journey into the history of Albania, “The Land of Eagles”. You will explore amazing cities like Tirana, Berat, Vlora and many more. The folklore and culture of these cities will make you travel through time while you discover their secrets. The sweet smell of the fine Albanian cuisine and the colorful sounds of the polyphonic music, will accompany you throughout the entire trip while you learn the history of Albania, Europe’s hidden gem.
Day 1: Departure from home country – Tirana
Your guide will meet you at “Mother Teresa” Airport, Tirana, and will accompany you to the hotel. Upon accommodation at the hotel, you will meet the other group members and your guide will briefly give you some information on your program while you enjoy a welcome drink at your hotel.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Tirana
After breakfast, you will have a whole sightseeing day, to explore in depth the capital of Albania. You will visit the mosaic of Tirana, a famous Albanian landmark, as well as the National Historic Museum.
While walking on the main boulevard you will see the mosque of Et’hemBey built in 1789, the clock-tower, 35 m high, built in 1830.the Opera House, the municipality and other important government buildings.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy a relaxing short walk by the artificial lake, part of the National Park of Tirana or visit the gallery of the arts.
You will have dinner in one of the Albanian traditional restaurants, where you will enjoy the fresh homemade dishes.

Day 3: Kruja – Berat
After breakfast, you set off for the city of Kruja, hometown of Albania’s national hero, Skanderbeg.
There you will admire the Castle of Kruja, inside which you can visit the Museum of GjergjKastrioti Skanderbeg.
You will also visit the Ethnographic Museum located inside a traditional Albanian house.You can have lunch in one of the restaurants inside the castle, tasting the traditional food of this area.
After lunch you can visit the OldBazaar where the best handmade souvenirs can be purchased.
Then the group will set off to the city of Berat, also known as “The City Of 1000 Windows”, and declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site.On the way there, you can visit the 13th century monastery of Ardenica, with its very impressive frescoes.. After lunch at a local restaurant you will proceed to Berat.
Its age, culture, and folk traditions make the city, one of the most interesting towns in the Mediterranean area.
In the afternoon you will have the chance to taste the local wine at the “Cobo” winery.
Enjoy dinner in one of the traditional restaurants to taste the delicious and various traditional dishes of this area.

Day 4: Berat – Vlora
You will leave the hotel after breakfast, and do some more exploring of the city of Berat. The city has everything you require; a beautiful medieval castle district complete with ancient churches and mosques, a lively lower town consisting of grand old houses draped on steep hillsides, an old stone bridge and a great museum.
Afterwards you will depart for Apollonia, one of Albania’s most impressive sights and home to the Apollonia Museum.
Then, you will continue your journey to the coastal town of Vlora, where the Albanian Declaration of Independence was proclaimed on November 28, 1912. There you can have lunch while enjoying the beauty of the nature and the sea. You can have the afternoon at your disposal to make your own explorations. Enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants.

Day 5: Vlora – Durres
After breakfast, you will continue your exploration of Vlora, while learning more about its history.
You will visit some of the city’s most famous sights, such as the Museum of Independence, the charming spot “Cold Water”, etc. You can then enjoy lunch in one of the many seaside restaurants.
Afterwards you will depart for the coastal city of Durres, which is a wonderful walking, sightseeing and beach location. After some explorations of the city you will have your farewell dinner in one of the many seaside restaurants.

Day 6 – Airport
After breakfast, a shuttle will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
